Services for Hospices and Palliative Care

The Digital Legacy Association supports healthcare professionals, hospices and those delivering end of life care with information and training. They also provide a free framework for healthcare professionals to view and download.

This information can be found on the Digital Legacy Association website

The Association also provides training, promotes best practice, and raises awareness as to how each person can plan for death digitally. Their goal is to ensure that everyone is aware of what will happen to their digital footprint and their digital assets when they die. They strive to empower both professionals and society to take the relevant steps to ensure that each person’s wishes are adhered. Lack of awareness and planning often results in beneficiaries and the recently bereaved losing access to digital photos, videos and other digital assets like music, videos and eBooks.

The Digital Legacy Association’s framework for healthcare professionals is free to download (PDF) and signposts readers to a range of resources and tutorials.

A CPD accredited training workshop has been created with St Christopher’s Hospice. It has been developed specifically for the end of life and hospice sector and will take place in hospices across the UK from March 2016.
