About Daisy

Daisy was chosen from a litter of kittens who lived in Poole, Dorset, UK. She was mostly black but her fur had a reddish tinge. She was the second family cat so had to make friends with Winnie, who was much older than her. Daisy loved her home life and her large garden, but did not wander far away from it. Later in life she broke a leg and had to have it set in plaster. The leg mended, but then it broke again, so a second plaster was needed. Can you see the hedgehog in the video?

  • Daisy loved to run up to the top of the apple tree in the garden, and got stuck there on several occasions.
  • She once brought in a vole, which escaped and ran up inside the back of the cooker. Many hours were then spent trying to retrieve it.
  • When it was time to go to the cattery before the family went on holiday, Daisy always ran away, the only time she ever went elsewhere.
  • Daisy tolerated the company of other cats, perhaps because in later life, she could not see them.
